What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

• Server logs: Standard access logs (IP, user agent, requested page) kept for 30 days for security.
• Newsletter: If you subscribe, we store your email and your subscription preferences. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and on what kind of device, so we can keep improving the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and may share data with Google as described in Google's Privacy Policy. We have IP anonymization enabled by default in GA4 and we do not enable Google Signals or advertising features.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not run cross-site advertising pixels.
• We do not store credit card information.
• We do not link Google Analytics to any advertising profile.

Cookies

The only cookies set on this site are the ones placed by Google Analytics (_ga and related), used to count unique visitors and sessions. They expire after about 2 years (Google's default). You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the official Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on. If we add advertising in the future, ads providers (e.g. Google AdSense) may set additional cookies; we will update this notice and add a consent banner where required by law (GDPR / CCPA / UK).

Third parties

• Hostinger hosts this website and processes your request data.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC) receives anonymized usage data — page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, device type — to power our traffic reports.
• Google Search Console (Google LLC) shows us which Google search queries lead to this site. It receives no personal data from us; it only summarizes data Google already has from its own search index.
• Newsletter provider (if used) processes your email and engagement data.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your newsletter subscription or any other personal data we hold by emailing privacy@spaceuniverse.online.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post a notice on this page and date it.
